WEEKEND RULE FOR ALL CAMPSITES
If your reservation starts on Friday you must also include Saturday and check out on Sunday as the minimum of 2 nights is required between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend.

No campground may be occupied for more than 14 consecutive days out of 30 consecutive days.
DURING CHECKOUT YOU WILL BE ASKED TO COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING STEPS
- Choose only 1 reservation. (Hint: Type in "1" or click on the + symbol once) (Clicking the + symbol more than once or entering another number other than "1" will prevent you from going further)
- Choose an available starting date.
- Select the number of nights you want to stay. (Follow the weekend rules listed above or your credit card will be charged for the required number of nights)
- Enter all of your contact information.
- Enter the state and license plate number of your vehicle. (Towed units exempt)
- Enter your payment information.
- Click on the yellow 'Process Booking' bar to complete booking your reservation.
ELECTRICAL HOOK-UPS
Electrical hookup fees apply if you occupy the campsite even if you choose not to use electricity. Extension cords must be in good condition, 25 feet or less and fit properly into the outlet. Extension cords may only be used in the reserved campsite and may not extend outside of the reserved campsite. Cords may not run from one campsite to another at any time.
GROUP CAMPING
Multiple units may occupy camping areas designated by the 'GROUP CAMPING' sign which also includes the cabins. Each unit must pay the camping fee. A campsite is defined by one fire ring and table. Ultimately the person who made the reservation is responsible for payment of the additional camper fee.
7 DAY RULE
You can only book a campsite 7 days in advance from the day you are making the reservation using the online system. If you want to make a reservation less than 7 days in advance you must call the office using your credit or debit card.
CAMPING UNIT DEFINED
A camping unit is a powered vehicle, motor home, camping bus, pull-type camper, tent or any other device designed for sleeping.
CAMPING STAY
Any portion of a 24-hour period beginning at 2PM that a camper occupies a campsite is considered one night. The camper must vacate the campsite on the last camping day by 1PM (both reserved campers and "first come-first served" campers).
PETS
Pets must be on a leash at all times whether at a campsite or out for a walk. Pets (except service animals) are not allowed on the public swimming beach, playground or in any public lake recreation building (including vault toilets and comfort stations). Owners must clean up after their pets.
FIRE SAFETY
Do not build large roaring fires and be sure your campfire is "DEAD OUT “before turning in for the night or departing. Do not dispose of trash in fire ring.
CHECK IN - CHECK OUT TIMES
Check in time is 2PM. Check out time is 1PM. You may remove your unit and place it in a designated public parking area and enjoy the lake the day of your checkout.
VACATING THE CAMPING AREA
All garbage must be disposed of. All pet messes must be cleaned up. Garbage may not be left in fire ring or around the campsite. Fires must be extinguished. Any damage to ground or trees must be reported to office or Lake Staff. Additional fees may apply to sites that are left in an unacceptable condition.
NO LITTERING RULES
Fire rings are not to be used for the dumping of any type of trash. You are required to keep the grounds free of litter. Please dispose of garbage in dumpsters. Do not leave your garbage in fire ring. Chewing gum, cigarette butts, peanut and sunflower seed shells, bottles, cans and wrappers are considered litter.
ARCHAEOLOGY
Take pictures, make drawings, look, but do not remove archaeological artifacts, fossils, & other geological specimens: it's against federal & state law.
FIREWORKS
By order of the Bureau of Reclamation fireworks are no longer allowed on any of the federal property at the Heart Butte Reservoir also known as Lake Tschida.
CAMPSITE & CABIN CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY
Cancellations must be made by calling the office (701-584-2201) during regular business hours as listed on the right. Leaving a message on the lake's answering system is not acceptable. You must speak with an employee in person. Credit card refunds generally take anywhere from 5 to 10 days. Reservations cannot be made by leaving a message on the lake's answering system.
Cancelled reservations paid by cash or check will have a refund check (minus required fees) issued by the Tri-Cities Joint Job Development Authority (TCJJDA) within 30 days.
- There is a $10 cancellation fee if the reservation is cancelled 6 days or more before the start of the reservation.
- There is a 50% cancellation fee if the reservation is cancelled 5 days or less before the start of the reservation or if during your stay you decide to leave early and is based upon the remaining days and also subject to the 24 hour notice rule.
- There is NO REFUND if the reservation is cancelled less than 24 hours before the start of the reservation based upon the check in time of 2PM.
- There is a $20 fee to change the date or the campsite of the reservation.
- There is NO REFUND of the 5% Taxes/Fees.
- There is NO REFUND if you don't show.
- There is NO REFUND for inclement weather days.
- There is a $35 fee for all returned checks.
As required by federal law each reservation/transaction must be made in the name, address, telephone number, vehicle license plate state and number.
VIOLATIONS OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Violations may result in trespass of property. Failure to comply with the rules and regulations may result in arrest.
